Saysutshun Interpretive Walking Tour
This easy nature walk takes visitors on a cultural tour of the island. Beginning at the Totem Pole near the ferry dock, an experienced Snuneymuxw guide will introduce you to the Snuneymuxw First Nation sacred village sites, traditions and cultural history of Saysutshun. You will hear beautiful stories and practices that have been handed down from generation to generation as you learn about Snuneymuxw medicines and observe historical objects. The tour is approximately 1.5 hours.

Saysutshun Salmon BBQ Feast
For a taste of traditional Coast Salish cuisine, groups of 20 or more can book a salmon barbecue feast at the BBQ fire pit! A Snuneymuxw chef will immerse you in cultural practices and traditional values handed down through generations while preparing a delectable sockeye salmon meal. The meal includes salmon, baked potatoes, green salad, fresh fruit, traditional baked bread and a drink.
$30/person plus tax – Book in advance (3 weeks recommended), minimum of 20 people
Embark on a Snuneymuxw cedar canoe for a 30-minute guided tour on the water ushered by an experienced Snuneymuxw skipper and bow man. Connect with nature while gliding through the Saysutshun waters listening to Snuneymuxw songs and learning Snuneymuxw ways of life.
