THE LAST SALMON BBQ OF THE SEASON IS ON SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 10TH. TOUR STARTS AT 12;30 AT THE TOTEM POLE AND WILL FEATURE THE NATURALIST WALKING TOUR. SPECIAL RATES APPLY FOR THIS DATE. REGULAR RATE OF $50 IS NOW OFFERED AT $45 PER PERSON. IF YOU BOOK FOUR OR MORE ADULTS $40 PER PERSON. KIDS 12 AND UNDER HALF PRICE, UNDER AGE 5 ARE FREE - ONE PER ADULT. TAX INCLUDED IN PRICES!!
Begins at the Totem Pole where your guide will meet you and lead you through an informative walking tour of the Island. With this combined knowledge of natural marine, wildlife and plants and traditional teachings you will learn how the Snuneymuxw people lived and used the Island over the generations including the natural beauty of the Island today. This tour is great for all ages. With a more instructional focus, it has been beneficial for school groups and others wanting to learn more about Newcastle Island. The tour is 1.5 hours.Once the tour is over, you will enjoy eating a traditionally cooked BBQ salmon at the BBQ fire pit. The Snuneymuxw chef will take you through the process of cooking traditionally and speak of the teachings handed down through the generations of cooking the sockeye salmon. The tour is approximately 1.5 hours plus additional time to enjoy your meal.
Pre-booking required. Minimum of 12 people required and maximum of 50 people per tour.
